Abstract

Information systems play a crucial role in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational management, including in the hospitality industry. This research aims to design and implement a menu management information system at Hotel Morena using Visual Basic .NET as the main programming language. The system is designed to streamline menu management processes, ranging from menu ordering, price management, to structured report generation. The development methodology used for the system is the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, and maintenance. The Research and Development (R&D) method was utilized to identify user needs and develop a prototype that aligns with the hotel's requirements. After the system was developed, testing was conducted using the Blackbox method to ensure that all functions operated according to the specified requirements. The test results indicate that the system successfully meets the management needs of Hotel Morena, such as easier menu data processing, improved data accessibility, and accurate report generation. The use of Visual Basic .NET enables the integration of modern features with a user-friendly interface. Additionally, the system is designed to support ease of further development. This information system is expected to serve as a solution to enhance the quality of services at Hotel Morena and provide significant benefits in effective menu management, while simultaneously improving customer satisfaction and hotel management's operational efficiency.
