Designing an Accounting Information System for Merchandise Inventory in Stores 35 Cimahi City Government

Abstract

This research aims to design an inventory information system at the Toko Serba 35 of the City Government of Cimahi. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used were literature study, observation and interviews. From the research conducted, it was found that the factors that hindered inventory management were still using Microsoft Excel recording with the v-lookup formula which was felt to be less effective and efficient. With the creation of an engineering merchandise inventory software with a desktop programming application to make it easier to obtain information related to inventory of merchandise appropriately in managing inventory data. The conclusion of this research is by using the application as a means of merchandise inventory, it is expected that the inventory management process can run well without any obstacles
