GAME EDUKASI PENGENALAN METAMORFOSIS SERANGGA UNTUK ANAK BERKEBUTUHAN KHUSUS (ABK) TUNAGRAHITA SEKOLAH LUAR BIASA (SLB-C) YPSLB KERTEN
Abstract
Children with intellectual disabilities are a group of children with special needs who have below average intellectual capacity compared to children in general. Currently the process of teaching and learning activities at SLB-C YPSLB Kerten. Using the 2013 curriculum as a reference for teaching and learning activities where teachers must be creative in teaching, but many methods have been tried and are less effective due to the characteristics of mentally retarded children who are easily bored, bored and find it difficult to focus, especially on insect metamorphosis material. For this reason, a fun learning method is needed, namely playing. Educational games are a medium that can facilitate learning activities for students. The aim of designing an educational game to introduce insect metamorphosis is to help students remember with the help of the images provided and to be an innovation for teachers in teaching and learning activities to make it easier and more fun. Apart from collecting data through observation and interviews, game development uses the GDLC (Game Development Life Cycle) method. In making this game, we used Construct 2 software for game creation and Corel Draw X7 as support for asset formation. The results of the System Usability Scale (SUS) calculation, the average score obtained was 78.7 with a high Acceptability Range where the educational games created were acceptable and met teachers' needs and helped learning and increased students' interest in learning.
