Abstract
This study aims to design and develop a desktop-based Office Stationery (ATK) Inventory System to improve the effectiveness of inventory data management in the administration warehouse. The primary issue with the legacy system is the manual recording process using stock books and spreadsheets, which poses risks of human error, data update delays, and difficulties in compiling reports. The research method applied is Research and Development (R&D), comprising stages of requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, and maintenance. The application was developed using the Java programming language with Java Swing on the NetBeans IDE, utilizing a MySQL database as the data storage medium. The system features a login interface, item data management, incoming and outgoing item transactions, data search, and report generation via JasperReports. The Black-box Testing evaluation indicates that all functional modules of the system operate properly according to user requirements. The implementation of this system is capable of accelerating inventory management processes, minimizing recording errors, and facilitating rapid as well as accurate stock monitoring and report generation.
