IMPLEMENTASI LEAN OFFICE CONCEPT DI BBKK SURABAYA WILAYAH KERJA GRESIK
Abstract
This research examines the implementation of the lean office concept in optimizing office layout at the Surabaya Health Quarantine Center (BBKK) in the Gresik Work Area. The problems faced include office layout that is not yet optimal and a lack of public facilities which have an impact on service effectiveness. This research used a qualitative approach with transcendental phenomenological theory, and involved collecting primary data from the Health Quarantine Violation Surveillance and Enforcement Work Team, the Health Risk Factor Monitoring Team for Transport Equipment and Goods, and two ship agents. Secondary data was obtained from monthly ship registration reports. The research results show that the current condition of the office layout is not yet in line with the proper implementation of lean office, especially in the waiting area for ship agent services. Optimizing the spatial layout with the lean office concept focuses on work flow efficiency and reducing waste, including flexible seating layouts in the lobby area and strategic placement of lactation rooms. This implementation aims to improve service quality and operational efficiency of BBKK Surabaya Wilker Gresik.
