PENERAPAN METODE OVERALL EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVENESS UNTUK MENGUKUR EFEKTIDITAS MESIN PRESS
Abstract
The effectiveness of a production machine is a method of measuring how well a machine or production equipment works to achieve the desired production target (output) by minimizing waste, downtime and production operating costs. The production process will work effectively if the machine is able to work according to a certain period of time without any significant interference and including the speed of the machine working. The study discusses press machines that experience constraints, such as high downtime causing products to not meet standards in terms of quality and quantity. The Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) approach is one method that can be used to measure the work of how effective the machine is described in three main ratios, namely availability, performance efficiency, and quality level. Based on the calculation results, the OEE value obtained an average of 73% so that this value is still below the world-class standard of 85%, meaning this value is low, but the Company has room to be developed. The main factor of the availability value obtained is 79%, the performance rate value is 86%, and the quality ratio is 97% indicating that routine machine scheduling and maintenance have not been carried out, causing disruption and damage to the machine.
