Design of a Web-Based Doctor Scheduling System Using CodeIgniter

Abstract

The implementation of a web-based information system for presenting information on types of medical services and doctors’ schedules is an important requirement for hospitals to improve the quality of healthcare services. An information system is a collection of hardware, software, databases, telecommunications, human resources, and procedures designed to process data into useful information. Currently, the doctor scheduling system at Hospital X is still carried out manually using paper-based media, making the patient registration process less efficient and potentially causing problems such as long queues and a lack of information regarding doctors’ availability. This condition makes it difficult for patients to obtain optimal healthcare services. Therefore, a web-based doctor scheduling information system is needed to provide accurate and real-time information in order to improve service efficiency and facilitate easier access to information for patients and hospital staff.Keywords : Waterfall, Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram, Class Diagram, and MySQL
