Abstract

Efficient pharmaceutical services play a crucial role in improving the quality of hospital services. The manual drug prescribing process can potentially lead to delays and prescription errors. This study aims to develop an integrated prescription feature within the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) and assess its impact on the efficiency of pharmaceutical services. The Waterfall method was used because its development stages are systematic and sequential, making it suitable for developing an integrated prescription feature within the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS). Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results indicate that implementing the integrated prescription feature within SIMRS can accelerate the pharmaceutical service process, reduce prescription errors, and improve the accuracy and completeness of drug information. Therefore, the development of this feature can improve the efficiency of pharmaceutical services and support patient safety.
